[GUEST SLICE]: Introducing, Randolph!
Hello fellow Slicers!
Randolph here — you might have seen my guest post a few weeks back (check that here) and am excited to be back with more young guns industry advice! I’ll be dropping in monthly to give my two cents on everything happening in the crazy world of the entertainment business through the millennial generation’s eyes.
A little about me:
I work at Brooklyn Basement Records and spend most of my days creating video content for our artists. I also handle tour marketing, radio coordination and playlist pitching.
I am originally from upstate South Carolina and began my music career as a jazz guitarist but quickly fell in love with the business side of the industry at a young age. I became obsessed with industry “big wigs” such as Bill Graham, Shep Gordon, Coran Capshaw and my personal hero Pete Shapiro.
Most days you will most likely find me:
Listening to (more like blaring) The Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic and Phish
Eating sandwiches at Mitchell’s Deli
Attempting to start a Talking Heads cover band
Stay tuned! My next post will be a follow up of my first that aims at guiding young professionals in an ever changing industry.
